Defending McCain

So, get as pumped as you like about Obama. I’m certainly pumped. I think Obama could be the 21st Century JFK. But, don’t diss John McCain with jokes about his age, smile, or personality. McCain deserves better. McCain has given us better.
I guess my opinions on McCain have gone substantially downhill after realizing how much in this election he has pandered to the public all for the sake of getting votes, going against not only his maverick image but also beliefs he has long claimed to hold.
It has long been established that you can spend your entire life building your reputation and earning the respect of those around you, only to ruin all those years of hard work with a single act. John McCain has spent the last few months going across this country, committing repeated acts of violence to his once sterling character and reputation all in the name of being elected president. You only deserve respect for as long as you maintain the integrity and character that commands it.
