Me, by numbers

TEN Random Things About Me

10:: I hate clipping my toenails.
09:: In 1992, I actively campaigned for Ross Perot. (I was in 3rd grade.)
08:: I don’t eat much ice cream. I’m lactose intolerant for one, but for the most part, it’s too rich. I prefer bread pudding or anything covered in butter.
07:: I’m a bumpkin at heart. I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of it, despite my best efforts.
06:: I am insanely anal about grammar. Growing up, there was no religion in my house except perfect English (completely at odds with the bumpkin upbringing, I know.)
05:: I got a master’s degree in Bollywood. No. Seriously.
04:: Most of the time, I’m narrating the story of my life in my head like a bad novel. If I ever do write my autobiography (which is likely considering my unbelievable narcissism) it will probably be one of those books that tries to come off as being very important, while for the most part being unsatisfying and rather formulaic. Assuming someone would publish it (not likely at al), it would inevitably end up in the bargain bin…and from there being sold for a nickel at someone’s garage sale, on a card table along with a stack of bad Harlequins from the 80s.
03:: When I hit 100 photo albums on facebook, I was fairly convinced that facebook was cutting me off. Then they created a test photo album for me, which has a really cool picture made by facebook. This is the closest thing to a brush with celebrity I can claim.
02:: I miss Texas and my family in a way that had previously been reserved for old lovers who never quite took.
01:: If the novel of my life ever does sell, it’s because I’ve lived one of the most unlikely and romantic love stories ever. No. Seriously.
