I mean, I love to talk some shit about complete strangers, but mostly I talk shit about the actual dress. (David’s Bridal is a four-letter word to me.) I’m gonna assume your dress is strapless, ‘cause they all are. I vote for pearls or something sparkly that falls no more than an inch below your collar bone.
How was that for random advice from a stranger who hasn’t even seen the dress?

YAY! You actually pretty much nailed it, right down to the heinousness that is almost always David’s Bridal. I was thinking pearls or something sparkly, too, and close to the collar bone…

This was great advice. It helped me to feel less utterly incompetent at fashion. :)

As for jewelry…I’d have to see the dress. It’s hard to go wrong though, isn’t it? I have never thought, “Oh man, nice dress, but waaaaay off on the jewelry.”

It’s times like these when I realize I’m probably a thousand times more judgmental than anyone else. ;)

I really wish there was some sort of @ feature on tumblr, like there is on twitter, so if someone writes a post to you, you actually know about it.
Trying to figure out how to accessorize my wedding dress is making my brain hurt. I’m not good at this whole coordinate your dress with your shoes with your jewelry thing. Would now be the right time to tell Kellen, “I’m sorry, can we just get married in jeans and t-shirts? I’m going to look like a 4-year-old who went overboard playing dress-up.”
